Bettws Bach is a small holiday cottage in a large private garden with ample parking. It is a haven of tranquility with a large lawn and wildfowers and a stream running down to the sea. The garden path goes down to the coastal path just above a little beach and, at low tide, the large expanse of Newport Sands. Canoes and windsurfers can easily be launched straight from the beach. The ground floor of the cottage is let (upstairs is private but empty when tenants are in). There are two bedrooms: a double and large twin, both with fitted wardrobes. The bed settee in the living room can also be used if you bring your own bedding for it.
There is a very well equipped kitchen and comfortable sitting room with log burner, TV (Sky Free Sat) and large window with stunning views of the bay. The bathroom has a large bath and separate shower.
Behind the house is Carn Ingli, the end of the Preseli range, offering stunning walks, horse riding and birdwatching. There is a golfcourse nearby and fantastic walks along the cliff or estuary straight from the house.
Newport is a pretty little town on the Nevern estuary, and on the opposite side of the river from Bettws Bach are the beautiful sands, sand dunes and muddy estuary which is very popular with waders and other birdlife.
